Such a sweet vintage Pennsylvania Hex quilt arranged in six-pointed stars in deep ruby red, cream, and white. The quilt is signed and dated in red embroidery on the back: "Granny Hood, Aug. 1982".
The design consists of closely arranged stars formed from cream cotton fabric printed with tiny red and navy blue polka dots, surrounded by rich red diamond-shaped pieces. Each star has a white hexagonal center.
The quilt features extensive hand quilting, with carefully worked stitches outlining each of the hundreds of diamonds. The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and machine stitched to form the binding. The batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: Beautiful vintage condition, with vibrant colors and an attractive overall appearance. The extensive hand quilting remains clearly defined, and the geometric design is beautifully preserved. Please examine the photographs as they form an important part of the description.
