$139.00

  • Details
This charming folk art quilt, dating to approximately 2000–2003, features nine appliquéd dogs, each sitting in its own colorful doghouse with a bone in its mouth. The dogs are arranged in three rows of three, with each one made from a different combination of high quality cotton fabrics.

The dogs have oversized floppy ears, appliquéd muzzles, embroidered details, and button eyes that give each one its own personality. The quilt incorporates a variety of country-style cotton prints, including plaids, stripes, florals, and small geometric designs in shades of burgundy, blue, green, mustard yellow, red, and purple.

A wide burgundy floral border frames the quilt, with coordinating binding and a tan printed cotton backing. The quilt has been professionally long-arm quilted in an allover meandering design with loops and swirls. The batting is lightweight and thin.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are part of the description. Please note that one of the dogs has only one button eye, which appears to be a feature, not a condition issue.
