This Blazing Star Quilt, circa 1930-1940s, is a striking example of the pattern with bright blue stars radiating from the center and hand-quilting that outlines each of the more than 3,000 individual pieces that make up the design.
The back is a grey cotton that has been turned to the front and machine stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with one small dot - the size of a tip of a pen - on one white patch.
The quilt measures 70 inches by 84 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
