Vintage Pickle Dish Quilt: signed and dated 1988; Hand-quilted (75x100 inches)

Pickle Dish Quilts are relatively rare due to their difficulty - this one is made from more than 2,000 tiny triangles embedded in curves which must meet up precisely to form rings. It is a beautifully done quilt with hand-quilting that outlines the thousands of pieces of patchwork and is in geometric patterns in the white spaces. The talented quilter in this case signed her work "Helen Sandt" and dated it 1988.

The back is light blue cotton, while the binding -- which follows the scalloped border on all four sides -- is white cotton that has been machine stitched to the back and hand-stitched to the front. The batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.

This quilt has been soaked and hand-washed then line-dried. It is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 75 inches by 100 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
