Antique Carpenter's Wheel Quilt with feather quilting, 1890s, handmade quilt; 70"x79"

This Carpenter's Wheel Quilt, circa 1890s, is from a Nebraska collector who has documented the provenance of the quilt (see photos). It has been quilted in feathers and double and triple diagonals as well as in outlines of the patchwork.

The back is white cotton as is the binding, which has been machine stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent antique condition with some fading of the white fabric, especially along the border.

It is clean, very soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 70 inches by 79 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
