This vintage Broken Star quilt dates to the late 1970s–early 1980s and is made from a country palette of mauve, teal, and burgundy. The quilt has been expertly pieced with radiating diamond strips forming a bold central star, surrounded by open white blocks and a sawtooth border. The hand-quilting is in outlines of the patchwork and in fine floral motifs in the open white areas.
The back is white cotton while the quilt has been knife edge finished with hand-stitching. The batting is lightweight.
This quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
