Vintage Basket of Diamonds Quilt: 1950-1960s; Hand-Quilted; (61x80 inches)

This Basket of Diamonds Quilt, circa 1950-1960s, is entirely hand-quilted in outlines of the patchwork and in double lines along the sashing and four-sided border.

The back is bright yellow cotton which has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with some light color transfer (see photos) and some color loss/fading of two small spots of the purple sashing. See photos.

The quilt has been soaked, hand-washed and line-dried and measures 61 inches by 80 inches. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home and is shown on a queen-size bed.
