  • Details
Beautiful early 1900s hand-quilted Double Nine Patch quilt. This two-color blue and white quilt features hundreds of carefully hand-pieced cottons arranged in a checkerboard chain pattern. Entirely hand-quilted in diamonds except on the four-sided border, where it's quilted in a twisted rope pattern, the hand-stitching on this quilt is tiny and precise.

The back is white cotton while the binding is blue cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is unsized and very lightweight.

This quilt is in good overall condition but has minor fabric loss in some of the blue squares and in some of the white fabric as well on the top border and a very frayed binding, all of which is why it is listed as a cutter or crafting quilt. See photos.

The quilt is on the small side, measuring 43 inches by 63 inches. From a smoke-free and pet-free home.
