Vintage Holiday Wreath Quilt: 1930s; Quilt for Crafters; hand-quilted (65" x 74")

Rare Vintage Christmas/Holiday Wreath Quilt, circa 1930s, with applique bells and holly wreaths on soft cotton background, including a black-on-white shirting print, all of which has been densely hand-quilted in diamonds and diagonals.

The back is white cotton while the binding is another cotton shirting fabric that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

While the quilt is generally sturdy, bright and lovely, it has condition issues including fabric loss in some of the applique and in parts of the white fabric (see photos), though there are NO holes that go through to the back. The binding is also very frayed. Due to these condition issues, the quilt is listed as a cutter/crafter's quilt.

The quilt is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 65 inches by 74 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
