This very impressive 1940s quilt in a classic Pinwheel pattern is bright and cheerful is in never used condition and is made from classic 1940s ginghams, plaids, striped, and feedsack-style fabrics. Alternating raspberry-pink floral squares create a beautiful checkerboard pattern. The hand-quilting is in circles and diamonds in the body of the quilt and in a shell pattern along the four-sided border.
The back is a sunny yellow floral cotton while the binding is coral pink that has been machine stitched to the back and hand-stitched to the front. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent, never-used condition with no condition issues found.
The quilt measures 70 inches by 76 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed. CL0055
