This is a beautiful yellow and pink 1930s Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt that has been hand-pieced and hand-quilted. Made from more than one thousand small hexagons, this quilt features classic feedsack-era fabrics including sunny chrome yellows, soft blush pink centers, and delicate pastel florals. It has been meticulously hand-quilted in outlines of each hexagon.
The back is white cotton while the binding is pink cotton that has been hand-stitched (in very tiny stitches) to both sides. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
While 90 to 95 percent of the quilt is in excellent condition, there is significant damage/fabric deterioration to parts of two of the borders/edges. See photos. The binding in those areas also has significant fraying. While the size and excellent condition of the rest of the quilt keeps this from being a cutter or crafting quilt, the price has been adjusted to account for the damage.
