Depression Era Amethyst Star Quilt Top – Feed Sack Fabrics – 41” x 73”

This charming Depression Era Amethyst Star quilt top is a wonderful example of 1930s–1940s scrap quilting, featuring feed sack and dress cotton prints set against a soft aqua background.

Please note: This is a quilt top only. It is not quilted and has no batting or backing.

The star blocks are made of classic Depression-era fabrics — from conversation prints, tiny florals, bold geometrics, polka dots and plaids, to bright novelty motifs.

The aqua solid background beautifully frames each star and gives the entire top a fresh, crisp mid-century feel.

Hand pieced with visible hand stitching, this top ONLY has never been quilted and retains its original unfinished edges.

It is in good vintage condition with some fading and toning - see photos.
