Vintage 1940s Duck Baby Quilt – Hand Embroidered Nursery Quilt – 41” x 61”

Sweet as can be, this mid-century duck quilt features rows of charming embroidered ducklings wearing little blue caps and marching across a soft yellow and white checkerboard setting.

Each duck is hand embroidered in golden yellow and blue thread, with black-stitched eyes and playful outlines. The hand-quilting is in diagonals along the four-sided white border while the body of the quilt has been quilted in flowers.

The back is white cotton while the binding is very narrow yellow cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt has been freshly laundered and is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
