Vintage 1950s Embroidered Baby Quilt Top – Nursery Animals – 45” x 71”

This is a delightful mid-century embroidered quilt top features a charming collection of nursery animals and storybook figures, beautifully hand-stitched on a crisp white cotton ground.

Dating to the 1950s, this sweet quilt top captures the joyful, playful style of the post-war baby boom era, with kittens playing with yarn, puppies with balls, bunnies, ducklings, lambs, a teddy bear, Humpty Dumpty, and other storybook animals. The embroidery is worked primarily in outline stitch with colorful accents in pink, blue, green, orange, and purple floss.

This is a quilt top only — it has not been quilted and does not contain batting or backing. It is in excellent vintage condition - with no toning (the amber in th photos is from (bad) light (sorry about that).
