Nine must have been the lucky number for the maker of this Nine-Patch Quilt Top. There are nine large squares, each made of 81 (9x9) individual squares. It features "scrappy" remnants from home dressmaking and repurposed feed sacks, including:
• Novelty "Western" Prints: The highlight of this piece is the wonderful Mid-Century Western motif fabric in sage green, featuring hand-drawn style cowboys around campfires and riders on bucking broncos. • Atomic-Era Whimsy: Includes a charming yellow novelty print with stylized red and blue figures, typical of the playful "atomic" kitchen and nursery prints of the 1950s. • Textured Cottons: Features patches of authentic vintage seersucker (puckered texture). • Vintage Scraps: A mix of polka dots, "shirting" stripes, floral calicos, and a bold, consistent poppy-red cotton broadcloth that ties the entire design together.
Condition: This is a quilt top only which means it needs to be finished and it has no batting, no back and no quilting. It is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
