Vintage 1930s Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt – Pastel Feed Sack Fabrics – 78” x 78”

This is a beautiful and classic 1930s Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt - Wheel of Life Variation - with a soft palette and charming variety of fabrics. There are 100s of hand-pieced hexagons arranged into blooming floral rosettes, each one unique, set against a white ground with a lovely soft green pathway design, which is what makes it a Wheel of Life Variation.

The fabrics include a wonderful mix of authentic 1930s prints, including florals, geometrics, feedsack prints, and novelty designs—each flower unique. The quilting is entirely hand done, following the hexagon shapes and adding gentle texture throughout. The backing is a soft aqua/green cotton while the binding is white cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with some beginning, minor signs of fraying along one part of the binding. It is structurally sound and sturdy.
