Vintage 1930s Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt, Pink & Green Scalloped Border, 71" x 83"

This is a beautiful and very cheerful antique Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt, dating to the 1930s–1940s, made entirely of hand-pieced hexagons in a vibrant array of period cotton prints. The hand-quilting is tiny and in outlines of the more than 2,000 hexagons, each of which is just 1.5 inches wide.

This quilt incorporates lively feed sack fabrics, each forming charming floral rosettes across a soft green ground. The quilt is finished with a striking scalloped border in pink and green and a coordinating pink backing that is still bright and lovely. The binding is a lighter pink cotton that has been hand-stitched to both sides and the cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
