This vintage Depression-era feedsack quilt top in Nine-Patch Variation pattern beautifully captures the resourcefulness and creativity of 1930s–1940s quiltmakers.
Constructed from a lively assortment of original feedsack fabrics, this quilt top features highly desirable visible sack stamps and printed markings, including bold “100 lbs” text and partial mill branding—rarely found details in a quilt top.
The blocks are arranged in a classic scrap configuration, showcasing cheerful florals, geometric prints, and novelty designs typical of the era. Many fabrics retain their original vibrancy, while others show gentle wear consistent with age and use, contributing to the quilt’s authentic character.
Please note: this is a quilt top only—it has not been quilted or backed and it has no batting.
The quilt top is in excellent vintage condition. Please note that some of the orange/cheddar patches have tan markings, but these are original to the feedsacks - and are not blemishes or tanning marks.
