This vintage 1940s Grandmother’s Favorite Quilt is soft/light yellow and red with a yellow back. This pattern interlocks and includes curve upon curve - a difficult pattern to execute, yet here it has been precisely and expertly hand-stitched then hand-quilted in the outlines of the patchwork and echo quilting.
The back is yellow cotton while the binding is red cotton that appears to be a much later replacement/restoration. It has been machine-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is sturdy and in excellent condition with two light tan marks (1/8 inch) on one yellow patch on the front and several similar sized light tan marks on the back. See photos.
