Vintage Hexagon Mosaic Quilt – Soft Pastel Rainbow Medallion – 75” x 86”

This joyful Hexagon Mosaic Quilt, dated February 29, 1976, is made of concentric rings of vibrant 1960s and 1970s prints and framed by a serene pale blue/aqua border. It is eye-catching and unusual, and entirely hand-pieced and hand-quilted. The hand quilting is in outlines of the hexagons and - along the border - in a diagonal grid.

The back is white cotton while the blue border has been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in very good vintage condition with 8-10 hexagons with fraying/fabric loss. See photos. It has been soaked and hand-washed and is sturdy and vibrant.
