This cheerful and beautifully balanced Around the World Quilt, circa late 1940s-1950s,is made from glowing rings of blue, green, and pink radiating outward. The gentle color palette and crisp geometric layout make it especially appealing for cottage, farmhouse, or vintage-inspired interiors. The quilt is composed of 2-inch squares of charming mid-century cotton prints, including calicos, tiny florals, and textured solids typical of the era. There is also a four-sided border in a lovely blue cotton print.
The hand-quilting is in a cross-hatch grid throughout the quilt. The back is white cotton while the binding is a maroon cotton print that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: This quilt is in excellent vintage condition - it has been well cared for and presents beautifully.
