This cheerful and beautifully graphic Lone Star quilt, circa 1950-1960s, brightens a room— it is fresh, lively, and full of personality. The Star is composed of hundreds of carefully pieced diamonds, cut from mid-century prints, including florals, novelty fabrics, and classic feedsack-style patterns, all surrounded by the aqua field and a four-sided patchwork border.
The hand-quilting is in outlines of the diamond patchwork and in a geometric chevron pattern in the open aqua blocks. The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
