  • Details
This antique primitive Cracker Quilt dates to approximately the 1920s–1930s and is entirely hand pieced from a variety of fabrics and hand quilted in a repeating shell pattern. The quilt is constructed from muted plaids, warm mustard sashing, along with woven cotton plaids, checks, and shirting fabrics in faded blues, browns, creams, grays, soft pinks, and mustard golds.

The back is a grey and re striped shirting cotton that has been turned to the front and hand stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is unsized and lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in overall very good condition and it is sturdy and displays beautifully, despite some condition issues: fraying of the binding (see photos) and a small hole in the backing that does not extend through the front (see photos).
