Vintage 1930s Old Maid’s Patience Quilt | Depression Era Pastel Star Quilt | 81” x 83”

This very cheerful Old Maid’s Patience Quilt dates to the 1930s or 1940s and has a bright palette of candy colors against a crisp white ground. The fabrics are classic 1930s prints in coral pinks, lavender, mint green, butter yellow, aqua, cherry red, orange, and sky blue.

The quilt is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted with lovely overall quilting that beautifully complements the geometric design.

Its generous size works well for a full or queen bed, or as a striking display textile.

Condition is very good overall for age. As shown in the photographs, there are a few scattered small minor tears and areas of thinning to several of the colored diamond pieces that form the stars. These are relatively limited and consistent with age and use in a well-loved antique quilt. The quilt displays beautifully and retains excellent overall visual impact.

Freshly cleaned and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
