    This cheerful and eye-catching mid-century Churn Dash quilt is a beauty made of vibrant pinks and floral prints. Handmade in the 1950s in the Mid-Ohio Valley region of West Virginia, the quilt reflects the practical artistry of the 1950s and Appalachian quilting traditions—it is simple, graphic, and composed of joyful colors. The hand-quilting is in a shell grid pattern throughout the quilt.

    The back is white cotton while the binding is pink cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.

    CONDITION: The quilt has been soaked and hand-washed and is clean, sturdy and in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
