Vintage 1930s Dresden Plate Quilt – Hand Quilted Yellow & White Appliqué Quilt – 65” x 87”

This joyful and graphic 1930s Dresden Plate quilt is filled with cheerful feedsack and novelty prints set against a striking sunny yellow lattice. The vivid color combination along the soft white ground and intricate handwork give the quilt warmth and charm.

Each Dresden Plate block has been entirely hand appliquéd and hand-pieced and finished with decorative hand embroidered blanket stitching around every petal. The hand quilting is also exceptionally fine and detailed in outlines of the patchwork as well as tiny geometric shapes, flowers and crosshatch grids along the sashing and border.

The back is yellow cotton as is the binding that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no issues noted.
