This is a beautiful early 20th century Missouri Puzzle Quilt made up of nine tiny 6-inch puzzle blocks of red floral calico against an ivory background. The quilt is entirely hand pieced and finely hand quilted, dating approximately to 1900–1920. The hand quilting is in a twisted rope pattern along the four-sided border and in outlines of the patchwork in the body of the quilt.
The back is ivory cotton while the very narrow binding is the same red floral calico used in the blocks and it has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition.
