This vintage Tumbling Blocks Quilt Pattern quilt was made in the late 1960s to 1970s in an arrangement of apricot-peach, cream, and chocolate brown floral fabrics arranged in the classic three-dimensional Tumbling Blocks design. The rounded corners and four-sided wide peach border soften the bold geometry, while depending on how you look at it, you will either see stars or tumbling blocks.
The quilt has been hand and machine pieced and sewing-machine quilted using decorative zigzag stitching. The back is white cotton while the binding is peach cotton that has been machine stitched to both sides. The batting is lightweight.
CONDITION: The quilt is sturdy and in excellent vintage condition. The quilt has been soaked and freshly hand-washed and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
