Vintage 1940s Morning Glory Quilt | Hand Appliquéd & Hand Quilted Floral Beauty | 74" x 99"

Sunshine-yellow borders with graceful floral appliqué and beautiful hand quilting combine in this charming 1940s Morning Glory Quilt, which was likely made from a Mountain Mist kit, and has been entirely hand-appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted. The quilting is in modified braided rope patterns, diamond grids and expansive flowery motifs.

The cheerful yellow flowers, pink-and-blue buds, and green vines stand out beautifully against the crisp white background. The back is white cotton while the binding is bright yellow cotton that has been machine stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: The quilt is in excellent vintage condition and has been soaked,
freshly cleaned and line-dried, giving a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
