This charming Diamond Field quilt features alternating diamond-shaped floral medallions set against a background of soft yellow and white 1.5-inch hexagons. The hand quilting is in outlines of each of the hexagons and in diagonals along the four-sided border.
The fabrics include tiny florals and ginghams along with blue and white polka dot prints that frame many of the diamond motifs. The back is white cotton while the yellow border has been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form a very narrow binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
CONDITION: As can be seen in the photos, the quilt has fabric deterioration in several of the hexagons, a fraying binding, several small holes (most notably at the edges), thinning fabrics, tan marks, and wear are present throughout. For these reasons it is being sold as a cutter or crafting quilt. Despite these flaws it remains sturdy and largely intact.
