This is a vibrant, cheerful 1970s Dresden Plate quilt set against a buttercup yellow background and featuring 12 oversized Dresden plate applique blocks arranged in a classic 3 x 4 grid. The piece includes a variety of vintage scrap calicos—including retro ditsy florals, polka dots, ginghams, mini geometrics, and graphic novelty prints in shades of cobalt blue, coral red, sunny gold, lilac, magenta, and leaf green.

The hand quilting is dense and precise with each plate's center quilted with a five-petal flower medallion, while the yellow background and sashing feature modified twisted rope patterns and concentric arc motifs. The back is matching solid pale yellow cotton, as is the binding that has been machine stitched to the front and handstitched to the back. The batting is lightweight and thin.
