A charming, beautifully preserved miniature scrap quilt dated 1983, hand-quilted and signed by maker Janet Myers. This small quilt is a mosaic of traditional hexagon patchwork rendered in cotton fabrics.
There are ditsy sprig florals, sweet calicos, crisp gingham checks, country heart motifs, candy stripes and polka dots. Each hexagon has been outlined by hand quilting in tiny, precise stitches.
The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and machine stitched to form the binding. The batting is very lightweight.
On the back there is also a label: “Hand Made By Janet Myers” label and neatly hand-embroidered navy numbers reading “1983”.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Structurally sound, clean, flat, and intact with bright, unfaded colors. Free of tears, fraying, or odors. Please examine the photographs as they form an important part of the description.
