This colorful Vintage Snowball and Nine Patch quilt dates to the 1940s and is made from a striking combination of brilliant red, bubblegum pink, royal blue, and yellow gingham fabrics.
The tiny blue and yellow Nine-Patch blocks run through the bubble pink ground with the 18 snowball centers providing a lovely and dramatic contrast running all through the quilt. The hand quilting is precise, tiny and beautifully done in a diagonal grid throughout the body and along the two sided red cotton border.
The back is cream-white cotton while the binding is navy blue cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and handstitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight and thin.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Please examine the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
