This pattern appears to be from a Paragon Kit and the quilter of this Iris Garden Quilt, dated 1968-1974, did a tremendous job with the applique, hand-embroidery and hand-quilting, creating a truly impressive quilt. In addition to the Iris Garden, there is a flower border that spans the bottom corners and another garden of flowers across the top. The quilting is in feathers, diagonals and outlines of the applique.
The back is white cotton while the binding is green cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched (in very tiny stitches) to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent unused vintage condition with no condition issues noted.
It is approximately 77 inches by 91 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
