Rare Antique Scrappy Pickle Dish Quilt: 1900-1920s; Hand-quilted (72x85inches)

What a beautiful Pickle Dish Quilt, circa 1900-1920s, with its sharply pointed triangles and elegant curves, joined together by the still-bright center red diamonds. It has been entirely hand-quilted in geometric shapes/flowers and outlines of the pickle dishes.

The back is light blue cotton, while the binding is a blue and white check that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is unsized and lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with tan marks on the back (see photos) that do not effect and cannot be seen on the front.

This quilt has been soaked and hand-washed then line-dried. It is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 72 inches by 85 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
