Antique Ohio Star Cutter Quilt: 1920s; Quilt for Crafters; hand-quilted (73" x 83")

Such a sweet 1920s Ohio Star Quilt with expert diamond quilting on a grid in tiny stitches and 63 small Ohio Star blocks - each of which is just 6 inches by 6 inches. The quilting on the four-sided pink and white border is in diagonal lines.

The back is white cotton while the binding is light pink cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

While the body of the quilt is in very good condition, the fabrics have faded somewhat and the border has experienced fabric loss, while the binding has frayed to the point that some of the binding material is missing. There are also several very tiny dots (less than 1/16 of an inch) along the border.

The quilt is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 73 inches by 83 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
