Vintage Primitive Churn Dash Quilt, circa 1930s, this is classic farmhouse decor and has been hand-pieced from feedsack florals, stripes and shirting prints. The hand-quilting is in straight lines (see photos) throughout the quilt.
The back is feedsack tan cotton that has been turned to the front and machine-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is unsized and medium weight.
The quilt is in good condition with age-related wear, including light staining, fabric loss - especially along one border (see photos) - and several small repairs. Though it is sturdy and still-beautiful, due to these condition issues it is being sold as a cutter/crafting quilt.
The quilt comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home and measures 76 inches by 82 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
