Antique London Roads Quilt: 1920s; signed P.R.H., Hand-Quilted; (70x70 inches)

Beautiful London Roads Quilt, circa 1920s, a striking geometric design with alternating bars, diamonds, triangle intersections and arrows. Expertly hand-quilted in floral motifs and geometric patterns within the body of the quilt and, along the four-sided border, in a lovely braided rope pattern. One corner is signed "P.R.H." in embroidery.

The back is a soft blue plaid cotton while the binding is tan cotton that has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent antique condition, with one very old, small patch on the front (see photos).

This lovely quilt is clean and soft and measures 70 inches by 70 inches. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
