Elvis Presley Folk Art Quilt — Handmade 1985 Elvis Tribute — Complete Filmography — 56" x 56"

This exceptional folk art story quilt is a one-of-a-kind handmade Elvis tribute documenting the complete lifetime filmography of Elvis Presley from the 1950s thru 1970. Created and hand-quilted in 1985, the quilt presents each of Elvis’s motion pictures in individually embroidered blocks, arranged chronologically with release dates, forming a stitched visual biography of his film career.

At the center is a striking memorial panel honoring Elvis’s life (1935–1977). The lettering is bold, textured embroidery. Each block has been individually embroidered and quilted and then all of the blocks have been embroidered together. The back is white cotton and the batting is lightweight.

This quilt is in excellent condition and yes there are a couple of minor typos that are not actually condition issues but are part of the charm of this quilt that was made just a few years after Elvis's death by what were obviously some of his biggest fans.
