This beautifully preserved vintage Churn Dash / Signature quilt, dates to the late 1930s–early 1940s, and is hand-pieced, hand-quilted, and hand-embroidered. It features dozens of individual signature blocks—each one recording a name, sentiment, or small motif. The quilt’s color palette is vibrant and from the Depression era—bubble-gum pink, mint green, clear red, teal blue, and soft chrome yellow. Wide sashing frames each block in blue and yellow.
The hand-quilting is tiny and precise and in straight lines that follow the outlines of the patchwork. The back is off-white cotton muslin that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues noted.
