Vintage 1940s Lone Star Quilt – Hand Quilted – 86” x 95”

This beautiful vintage Lone Star quilt dates to the 1940s and features a dramatic Lone Star medallion set against a wide white ground with a lavender and white four-sided border. The color palette includes vibrant pinks, lavender, mint green, chrome yellow and turquoise.

The quilt is entirely hand quilted with precise, tiny stitches in patterns of feather wreaths, radiating suns, cross-hatch grids, outlines of the diamond patchwork and feathers along the border.

The back is white cotton while the binding is a royal purple/lavender that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with some fading of the purple/lavender fabric - see photos.
