This is a beautiful scrappy Double Wedding Ring Quilt that -- in the 1930s to 1940s -- was hand pieced from a wide variety of period cotton prints and hand-quilted in a wave pattern throughout the quilt. The Depression-era fabrics include cheerful florals, ginghams, plaids, novelty prints, and pastel solids.
The back is white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is light-to-medium weight.
The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with some age-related fading of the fabrics.
