$529.00

  • Details
This is a really beautiful antique Double Wedding Ring quilt dating from the 1930s to early 1940s, during the Depression era, using a wonderful variety of colorful scrap fabrics. The quilt has been created from dozens of small feedsack and printed cotton pieces and is quilted in outlines of the tiny patchwork and - in the open white areas - in floral and petal motifs. The hand-quilting is exquisite: dense, tiny, even, and precise.

The back is cream cotton while the binding is green cotton that has been machine-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

Condition: What makes this quilt especially special is its exceptional condition for an vintage quilt of this age. The fabrics remain bright and lively, and the quilt has been beautifully preserved. No condition issues found.
