Vintage Nursery Animal Appliqué Coverlet | Mid-Century Crib Cover | 37” x 61”

Sweet and cheerful, this delightful vintage nursery coverlet features a collection of appliquéd baby animals, including kittens, puppies, ducks, and a lamb, each made from colorful printed cotton fabrics (ginghams and floral prints) and accented with embroidered details. It is all framed by the sunny yellow cotton border that has been hemmed at the edges to finish it as a summer-weight coverlet.

Unlike a traditional quilt, a summer coverlet contains no batting and no backing fabric, making it lightweight and suitable for use in warmer weather.

CONDITION: The coverlet is in excellent vintage condition. Please examine the photos as they are an important part of the description. The quilt has been soaked, freshly hand-washed and line-dried, giving it a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
