Vintage 1940s Basket of Flowers Quilt – Hand Appliquéd Green Beauty – 70” x 90”

This charming Basket of Flowers Quilt features twenty flower baskets scattered across a crisp white ground, each filled with a unique flower arrangement. The vivid green baskets and border are striking contrast against the soft white background, giving the quilt a fresh, cottage feel.

The hand quilting is in fine and positioned to complement the baskets with beautiful flower motifs quilted in the white areas next to each basket and quilting in diagonal grids along the four-sided green and white border. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The back is white cotton while the binding has been made by turning the front fabric to the back and hand stitching. The cotton batting is lightweight.

CONDITION: This quilt is in excellent vintage condition. The quilt remains sturdy overall and displays wonderfully. The quilt has been soaked, freshly hand-washed and line-dried, giving it a light natural sun-dried cotton scent (not artificially fragranced).
