Vintage 1930s Tulip Basket Quilt – Hand Appliquéd and Hand Quilted with Scalloped Edge – 64” x 83”

Beautiful 1930s Tulip Basket quilt featuring 20 individually pieced and appliquéd flower baskets arranged in five rows of four against a white cotton background. Each basket is constructed from alternating deep blue and white triangles, with a curved blue handle surrounding two hand-appliquéd tulips in pink and yellow, accented by dark green leaves and stems.

The quilt features exceptionally detailed hand quilting throughout, including elaborate feathered wreaths, flowing curved designs, diagonal lines, and decorative quilting within the wide blue inner border. The quilting creates a richly textured surface that complements the geometric basket pattern and floral appliqué.

A wide, deep blue border frames the central design, followed by a white scalloped outer border finished with narrow blue binding. The carefully shaped scalloped edge provides an attractive finishing detail.
