Vintage 1930s Log Cabin Quilt, Hand Quilted, Colorful Cotton Patchwork, 67 x 81

This is an unusual Log Cabin quilt dating to approximately the 1930s, measuring 67” x 81” and featuring individually pieced Log Cabin blocks, each incorporating a bright red and white polka-dot center surrounded by an assortment of patterned and solid cotton fabrics.

The fabrics include blue and red stripes, gingham checks, small floral prints, geometric patterns, and solid cottons in mint green, orange, blue, pink, and burgundy. The blocks are arranged in straight rows and columns and framed by wide green and orange borders.

The hand quilting is lovely with straight-line stitching following the construction of the individual blocks. It has a solid green cotton backing with visible hand quilting and hand-finished edges. The front border fabric has been turned to the back and handstitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight and thin.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Some areas of light discoloration and fading are visible, particularly along the green border. The fabrics retain strong, colorful contrast, and the quilting remains clearly defined.
