Antique 1930s Puppy Love Baby Quilt – Pink and White Hand Quilted Nursery Decor – 33” x 42”

This is a very sweet Vintage 1930s Puppy Love Baby Quilt with twelve individually hand-embroidered blocks depicting puppies with short captions like “Oh Boy!,” “Just a Song at Twilight,” “Take Me Along,” “Twins,” “Wake Up,” “Boo! Hoo!,” and “Sweetie Pie.”

The embroidery is beautifully executed in black outline stitching with accents of pink, red, and green. The twelve white cotton blocks are arranged in a traditional three-by-four layout, separated by pink cotton sashing and surrounded by a matching pink border.

The quilt is entirely hand quilted, with beautifully executed flower petal motifs quilted in the sashing and border and fine crosshatch quilting in the embroidered blocks. The back is pink cotton that has been turned to the front and handstitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight and thin.
